A little bit about me to begin

I'm new to blogging so i hope to make this if not entertaining ,at least informative and visually appealing. I would describe myself as a creative geek . I love creating in many forms , cooking and soapmaking being the main creative outlets . I started cooking when i was barely a teenager out of boredom of my Dad's cooking . His meat and potatoes menu were more than i could bear and so i started reading cookbooks and trying recipes out on the w-e when my Mom was home ( she worked the evening shift) .Before long , i took over dinner duty without much protest from Dad. A love affair with baking began and still burns strong today.
But growing up around my Dad who is an artist ,i always envied him his creativity . Until two yrs ago , searching for an answer for my son's itchy skin and mine , i came across handmade soap . The possibilities were endless , the product gentle on my skin and suddenly i knew what i wanted to do . At first it was just a hobby , but i became consumed with it . The colors ,oils ,scents make me want to create , it given me the spark i'd been coveting for yrs when looking at my father's painting. 
So there you go , this is what i want to share with you and so much more .
